Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has announced all Hyundai Grand Starex registered from 1 May will come pre-installed with a Telematics System. This Telematics System provides several services including eCall: Automatic Accident Detection, Manual eCall: Emergency Assistance, bCall: Breakdown Assistance, connected security features (mobile app) and Stolen Vehicle Tracking.
In addition, it has a service assist feature which makes it easier for owners to book a service appointment. The system tracks a vehicle’s mileage and an authorised Hyundai service centre can help to schedule a service appointment with the owner when required. The Concierge Service is equally convenient by helping drivers keep track of service intervals and renewals of road tax and insurance.
The Hyundai Telematics Service will be complimentary for new Grand Starex owners for the first three years but after that period, owners can choose to renew their subscription annually at RM380 per year. Existing owners can also retrofit the telematics system at any Hyundai authorised service centres for RM1,998.
